How to sell on Blinkit: seller registration guide
Updated October 2026
To sell on Blinkit, register on its own seller page, blinkit.com/seller. Blinkit says there are no paid agents or “official partners” for listing.
Blinkit’s category team then picks which products it takes and for which cities. Blinkit now buys most of what it sells, so most brands supply stock against purchase orders and agree a buying margin rather than a commission. Budget for warehouse delivery, expired stock and ads as well.
Blinkit has 2,621 locations across 467 cities, so where you launch matters as much as getting listed.
Blinkit does not publish a rate card, so every commission or margin figure on the page is an outside estimate. Terms change often and differ from brand to brand. Confirm every fee in writing with Blinkit before you sign or ship stock.
Official Blinkit seller sign-up pages
| Route | What it is | Address |
|---|---|---|
| Sell on Blinkit | Seller and brand sign-up. It opens seller.blinkit.com and asks for GST, PAN, an email and a product list. | blinkit.com/seller |

How to get your products listed on Blinkit
- Get your GST, PAN, FSSAI (for food) and trademark papers in order. Check that every product has a scannable barcode and the correct MRP and label details.
- Type blinkit.com/seller into your browser yourself, instead of clicking an ad, and register with your GST and PAN.
- Upload your product list. Blinkit’s category team decides which products it takes and in which cities.
- Agree the commercial terms in writing: commission or buying margin, fees, payment cycle, and who bears expiry and damage.
- Plan stock for the cities and stores you are given. Once your products are live, you can buy sponsored listings through Blinkit Ads.
Documents you need to sell on Blinkit
- GST registration
- PAN
- A working email address
- A product list (Blinkit’s sign-up asks for one)
- FSSAI licence for any food item, and trademark or brand-authorisation papers for branded goods
Blinkit’s sign-up asks for the first four. The last line is common practice in quick commerce, not a Blinkit rule, so confirm it during onboarding.
What Blinkit looks for in a new product
Before you apply, check your product against what quick-commerce buyers ask for:
- Products that sell fast in small packs, because each store has little shelf space
- Long remaining shelf life when stock reaches the warehouse
- A scannable barcode, correct MRP and complete label on every unit
- Steady supply, so stores do not run out once your product is live
Does Blinkit buy your stock or charge a commission?
- Since the June 2025 quarter Blinkit has bought stock from brands and sold it itself, alongside marketplace selling. A brand then agrees a buying price with Blinkit instead of paying a commission on each sale.
- Blinkit launched a self-serve Seller Hub for brands in October 2024, with more than 200 brands on it at launch.
The answer decides your margins. In a marketplace model you own the stock and pay the app a commission on each sale. In an inventory model the app buys stock from you at an agreed price and sets the selling price itself.
Indian foreign-investment rules let foreign-owned e-commerce firms run only marketplaces. That is why Eternal and Swiggy capped foreign ownership before moving to inventory.
Blinkit commission and seller margins
- In March 2025 Blinkit charged a fixed commission of 3–18% depending on category, and was moving to a commission that varies with each item’s selling price.
- Onboarding agencies put Blinkit’s category commissions at 2–18%, plus inwarding, fulfilment and storage charges (March 2026). It is an agency estimate. Blinkit has no public rate card.
On top of commission or margin, budget for delivery to the warehouse, rejected and expired stock, and promotions. What you pay becomes the app’s income per order in quick-commerce unit economics.
Blinkit purchase orders, warehouse checks and payment
- Blinkit now buys most of what it sells. About 90% of its order value came from its own stock in April–June 2026, up from about 3% in July 2025. Most brands therefore sell stock to Blinkit against purchase orders instead of listing as marketplace sellers.
- The usual flow: Blinkit raises purchase orders once your products are live, you ship to the assigned warehouse, the warehouse checks packaging, quantity, barcodes and shelf life, and accepted stock moves to dark stores. Blinkit has not published the process itself.
- Sellers are commonly told Blinkit wants 90–120 days of remaining shelf life, prefers GS1 barcodes and pays twice a month, with approval taking 3–7 days for products and 20–45 days overall. These are rough, unofficial figures, so confirm them with Blinkit.
Ask Blinkit in writing for:
- the PO lead time
- the minimum shelf life it accepts
- who pays for rejected or expired stock
- how many days it takes to pay you
GST registration for selling on Blinkit in other states
GST registration is by state. Say you sell as a marketplace seller and keep stock in the app’s warehouse in a state where you are not registered. You generally need a GST registration in that state. In a state where you are already registered, the warehouse is added as an additional place of business (APOB).
If the app buys your stock instead, you are making a sale to the app, and the paperwork is different. Blinkit warehouses are likely to be in the states with the most Blinkit stores. General guide only, not tax advice, so ask a GST practitioner before you ship.
Blinkit ads for brands
- Brands spent about ₹4,000 crore on quick-commerce ads in India in 2025, and spending is expected to reach ₹6,000 crore in 2026.
- Eternal does not show Blinkit’s ad revenue as a separate figure. Its management has said quick commerce earns more ad income per rupee of orders than food delivery.
Blinkit Ads runs on brands.blinkit.com once your products are live. Ad formats and minimum spends show only after you sign in.

Fake Blinkit listing agents and scams
On 3 October 2025 Blinkit’s CEO warned that people were charging brands for “fast-track” listings, and said there are no paid shortcuts. Apply only on Blinkit’s own domain, and never pay a personal UPI account for onboarding.
Frequently asked questions about selling on Blinkit
Is there a fee to register as a seller on Blinkit?
No. You apply on Blinkit’s own seller page, and it lists no registration fee. Commission, margins or fees apply only once you sell, as agreed in your contract.
How long does it take to get listed on Blinkit?
Blinkit does not say. Sellers are commonly told product approval takes 3–7 days and the whole process 20–45 days, but these are unofficial figures. Having your GST, FSSAI, brand papers and barcodes ready before you apply avoids most delays.
Do I need an FSSAI licence to sell on Blinkit?
Yes, for any food or drink product. The FSSAI number must be on the label and is checked during onboarding. Non-food items do not need FSSAI, but you still need GST, correct MRP and label declarations, and brand papers.
Do I need a GS1 barcode to sell on Blinkit?
Blinkit’s public pages do not say. Quick-commerce warehouses scan barcodes when stock arrives and prefer GS1 codes, which GS1 India issues. Get one before you print packaging, so you do not have to relabel stock.
