How we check what we publish
DarkStoreTracker’s store numbers are its own. We check every figure against its source and correct mistakes as soon as we confirm them.

Where our facts come from
Store and city numbers are DarkStoreTracker’s own figures, built the way our methodology describes. Everything else starts with the original: a company’s results or help pages, a regulator’s notice or a court order. When we write about a launch, a fee change or an inspection, we confirm it with the company or an official record and note the date.
If a figure only appears on a blog or social media and we can’t trace where it came from, we leave it out. When a company describes itself, we present it as the company’s claim rather than as fact.
Before a page goes live
We check every number against its source, including the date and the unit, whether that’s stores or cities, crore or lakh, a quarter or a full year. When two reliable figures disagree, we show both with their dates. Estimates are always marked as estimates.
Pages about money, jobs and the law
Some readers act on what we write: they apply for a delivery job, sign a lease or get asked for a franchise “fee”. On those pages we point you to the company’s own app or website, warn about known scams and leave out any phone number we can’t trace to the company. They also show when they were last checked. We don’t give legal, tax or investment advice.
How we use software and AI
We’re a small team, so scripts turn our store data into city, app and area pages, and we use AI tools to help sort data and draft text. AI is never a source for us. One of us checks every number and claim against the original before it goes live, and we never publish made-up quotes, reviews or people.
No one can pay for a place on our pages
We have no business ties to any app we cover, we run no ads or affiliate links, and we earn nothing when you order. Companies can send us their published figures, which we add with their dates, but no company sees a page before it goes live. Our rankings and best-app pages are based on store counts alone.
Keeping pages up to date
We refresh data pages regularly and review a guide whenever a fee, rule or company figure changes. The date at the top of each page shows when its facts were last checked. Changes to store counts are summed up in our dark store reports.
Found a mistake?
Send us the page link and a source that shows the right figure. Once we confirm it, we correct the page. We don’t change a number on an unproven claim, even when it comes from a company we cover.
