Blinkit franchise: cost, how to apply and fake offers
Updated October 2026
Yes. Blinkit takes applications from people who want to run a partner store, and from landlords with space to rent. Both routes are on Blinkit’s own pages. Blinkit publishes no franchise fee, investment amount or profit share.
The real risk is a cloned “Blinkit franchise” site that takes a registration fee or security deposit by UPI. Anyone who asks for money before Blinkit contacts you is not from Blinkit.
How to apply for a Blinkit franchise or partner store
- Pick the route that fits you: run a partner store, rent out a property, sell products or deliver.
- Apply only on the official Blinkit pages. Type the address yourself instead of clicking ads.
- Keep your documents ready: GST registration, PAN, property papers and photos and, for food, an FSSAI licence and the other dark store permits.
- Wait for Blinkit’s team to contact you. Ask for every term in writing before you sign or pay anything.
- Ask a lawyer or chartered accountant to check the agreement, rent, deposit and exit terms.

Blinkit dark store facts for partners and landlords
- Blinkit’s “Rent your property” form asks for at least 2,000 sq ft of carpet area, a floor-to-roof height of at least 9 ft, parking for at least 40 bikes plus truck access, at least 30 kV of power and two washrooms. Commercial, residential and bare-shell properties are accepted.
- Blinkit’s partnership page describes a marketplace where “local entrepreneurs” open storefronts, with separate routes for partner stores, property, sellers and delivery.
Blinkit franchise cost: blog claims and the facts
| Common claim | The facts |
|---|---|
| A franchise costs a fixed amount, often quoted in lakhs | Blogs quote investment figures with no company source. |
| You can expect a fixed profit or ROI each month | No quick delivery app publishes partner profits or a guaranteed return. Store sales rise and fall with local orders, rent and competition, so a promised profit for each month is a sales pitch, not a fact. |
| An agent can get you approved faster for a fee | Applying on Blinkit’s own pages costs nothing. Anyone charging a “registration fee” or “security deposit” upfront is a warning sign. |
Fake Blinkit franchise sites and scams
- In October 2025, Varanasi cyber police arrested two men from Jharkhand and Bihar who ran fake Zepto and Blinkit “franchise” websites. They pushed the sites with paid search and social media ads, then took “registration” and “security deposit” money by UPI. One victim lost ₹20.16 lakh.
- On 26 August 2025 the Delhi High Court ordered fake Zepto job and franchise sites, such as zeptojob.com and zeptojobs.in, to be taken down. Banks had to freeze the linked accounts, and the phone numbers used were blocked.
- In October 2025 Blinkit’s CEO warned that people were charging brands for a “fast track” listing. Blinkit says there are “no shortcuts and no official partners for listing products on Blinkit”.
How to check if a Blinkit franchise offer is real
- The website. Genuine Blinkit partner pages sit only on partners.blinkit.com and blinkit.com. Lookalike spellings and extra words in the address, such as “blinkit-franchise”, mark a fake.
- The contact. Genuine emails come from the company’s own domain, never from Gmail or another free address. Phone numbers in an ad prove nothing.
- The money. Never pay a “registration fee”, “security deposit” or “approval charge” before a signed agreement, and never to a personal UPI ID or an individual’s bank account.
- The promise. “Only two slots left today” and other deadlines are sales tactics, not company terms.
- The check. Contact Blinkit through its own app or website, not through anything the offer gives you, and ask whether the offer is genuine.
Frequently asked questions about the Blinkit franchise
How much does a Blinkit franchise cost?
Analyst estimates of what a dark store costs to set up, in the dark store franchise guide, are company spending, not a price for partners.
I already paid for a Blinkit franchise. What should I do?
Call 1930, the national cyber-fraud helpline, as soon as possible, and file a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in. Tell your bank the same day so it can try to hold the money. Keep the website address, payment receipts, UPI IDs, phone numbers and chats as evidence, and stop paying any further “fees”, however they are explained.
Other ways to earn with Blinkit: delivery, selling and rent
Running a store is only one option. You can become a Blinkit delivery partner or sell your products on Blinkit.
Property owners can earn rent instead of running a store. Renting your property to a dark store covers what operators look for, and dark store rent per sq ft by city shows what tenants pay.
